It's Twenty Twelve Motherfuckas!

Hey,

Yea, it's well and truly been a goddam long time since I've written on this blog. I'm sure no one will read this anyway, and writing this actually makes me feel a little dead inside, but since the last time we have:

  • Signed with Flying Nun
  • Recorded our second album
  • Made 3 music videos (Julie K, Another and Fred Gavin - links below)
  • Released 3 EPs and a live album in poster form (links below)
  • Filmed 2 in sessions (1 crummy Roundhead session and 1 awesome Off The Cuff)
  • Had a bit of a nervous breakdown

So, Life is Swell (video and single) will be out this month or next as the first bit of promo for the album, which doesn't yet have a name, but should be out towards the end of the year. I can tell you that Leo Buckett is in fact doing the artwork once again, having previously done Drone Attacks, Delicious Delicious Delicious, Last Night I Dreamt a Movie Theme and Scammers. I can also tell you the tentative tracklist:

  1. 1. Nails Painted
  2. 2. Life is Swell
  3. 3. O Nina
  4. 4. Return of The Worm
  5. 5. Kill Red
  6. 6. Jennifer Hands
  7. 7. SW Chops
  8. 8. Hot Sick Fuck
  9. 9. Mouth to Mouth
  10. 10. The Acid Parade
  11. 11. FS Stone
  12. 12. Biscuit City Sisters

There are 3 outtakes (Return to Action Movies, 'Cross The Stream and an as of yet unnamed song) which will be on an EP early next year (tentatively titled The Invisible Hand). The album was recorded the week between Camp and the start of the school year, with maximum interruptions and minimal smooth sailing. But we're excited by the results and we think it's "salvageable" to say the least :).

Anyways, here are the links to the recordings and videos we've made in the last year:

That'll keep you busy for a while folks, hope I haven't burned you all out (DGC chose not to promote Incesticide heavily in 92' as they didn't want a Nirvana burn out).

Cheers Buds! Joe.
